Ronan is from the Isle of Skye and is much in demand as a traditional fiddle player, both at home and abroad. He was steeped in music from an early age and has performed with many of Scotland's finest bands and high calibre musicians such Sandy Brechin, Fred Morrison (ex-Capercaillie), Malcolm Jones (Runrig), Jonny Hardie (Old Blind Dogs) and Andy Thorburn (Blazin’ Fiddles) amongst others.
He's performed at the world-famous Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow five times, toured abroad in Germany, Norway, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands and the Middle East. As well as performing live he's been featured on several television music programmes and soundtracks for documentaries.
Ronan is an experienced tutor and has taught at many festivals including Hebridean Celtic Festival on the Isle of Lewis, Lochaber Music School and the summer fiddle school at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on Skye alongside legendary fiddler Buddy MacMaster from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
