Skipinnish Records is a newly formed record company based in Spean Bridge in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Formed in 2003 by Angus MacPhail of Tiree and Andrew Stevenson of Achnacarry this small but growing company has made considerable progress in its short life span. Skipinnish Records' current catalogue of 4 recordings is due to expand to over 10 before Christmas 2005 with releases from some well known artists along with a number from fresh new bands, singers and musicians.

Skipinnish have been nominated for "Scottish Dance Band of the Year" at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards. To vote for Skipinnish please click here. You can only vote online once but you can download the form here and print it as many times as you like for family and friends and post it in. The closing date is the 25th November.

Skipinnish Records wins prestigious business awards - Shell LiveWire Scottish young entrepreneurs of the year 2005.

Skipinnish Records saw off strong competition to take the trophy. Angus and Andrew will be interviewed on Archie Fishers' Travelling Folk on 19th May from 7.30pm to talk about the award and forthcoming releases, and there will be lots more news coming soon.

Skipinnish Records reach Scottish Young Entrepreneur of the Year final.

On the 12th of April this year Skipinnish Records partners Andrew Stevenson and Angus MacPhail came top in the Argyll final of Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Since then they have been further short-listed from the 17 regional winners, to be one of the ten Scottish Finalists. Both partners are delighted to have reached the final stage of this competition in which they were up against thousands of other Scottish entrepreneurs under the age of 30. The Scottish final of this prestigious competition takes place on May 17th in Glasgow.

In March 2004 Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson received 2nd place in the Argyll section of the "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award.
